This year, the first weekend of July was once again marked by the well-known and beloved Fly Fest 2025 air show. Having learned from last year’s delay due to the sheer number of people interested in the event, I arrived right at the beginning. The first block of shows began at noon. The light, as is typical at this hour, wasn’t the best. Furthermore, the monstrous air shimmer caused by the heat meant I didn’t have any photos from the first two hours of the show. They all turned out blurry. However, things got better and better over time. I was surprised that interest at the beginning of the show was much lower than I expected. Over time, the crowd grew, but it wasn’t too bothersome. A picnic atmosphere prevailed. Blankets, deck chairs, and umbrellas could be seen not only in the show area but also in the parking lot, between cars. I actually got the impression that a large portion of the audience wasn’t particularly interested in what was happening in the air. And what could we see? The program announced the following participants:
- Flight presentation of 3 planes Aero Club Team VansRV7, Pionier300, Sonex
- 2 x Piper Cub Flight Presentation
- RWD 8 flight presentation
- Flight presentation of Retro Sky Team – 5 Zlin, An-2
- Presentation of AT3 planes in flight
- BO105 Heli Solution helicopter in flight presentation
- Bell UH-1D Heli Solution helicopter in flight presentation
- Glider acrobatics Jerzy Makula Swift glider
- Tecnam Lot Flight Academy
- Carbon Cub flight presentation
- Sky Magic skydiver
- Pitts S-2B airplane acrobatics Jerzy Makula
- Airplane acrobatics Marcin Pająk Extra 200
- LIM 2 Flight Presentation of the Eskadra Foundation
- Airplane acrobatics as 55 vari gyula
- Dromader flight presentation and water throw.
It was quite predictable and generally relaxed. Some flew faster, others slower, some more elegantly, others dynamically. There was a little bit of everything. Fly Fest has become a permanent fixture in my aviation photography calendar, mainly due to its proximity to home. But not only that – these are shows you can attend casually. Not necessarily to rush through and take photos, but simply to stare at the sky from time to time.
